‘Making Walking Number 1’ Campaign
The Department For Transport has confirmed it plans to proceed with all of its proposed changes to the Highway Code. This means, once the changes pass through Parliament in the autumn, people walking will be made the number one priority when it comes to road safety.
The revised Highway Code will not only help make streets safer for walking, it will also shift atittudes to how we get around in our towns and cities.
With your support we can create a nation where walking is the natural choice for everyday local journeys. Let’s do this together!
